404page – your smart custom 404 error page Causing Google Adwords Issues

 

I installed this plugin on Perth mortgage broker website Beat the Banks but shortly after the adwords were suspended because of a 404 issue.

The adwords pointed to the home page which came up no problem but the google robot didnt like it when this plugin was active.

I disabled the plugin to resolve the issue.  If you have any feedback on how to have a wordpress 404 plugin that doesn’t stuff up adwords please send it through.

I was redirecting pages not found just back to the home page and perhaps this was the issue but I cannot be sure without further testing and experimentation.
